Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance.
• Performing checks, start-up and shutdown operations on process equipment.
• Carry out filter changes.
• Isolating piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change.
• Adjusting process parameters to optimize operations under supervision.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment.
• Performing emergency shutdown of process equipment.
• Proper handing and blending of non-conforming products.
• Preparing plant equipment for maintenance.
• Preparing chemicals for process operations.
• Performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals.
• Performing emergency response activities and drills.

Education

Nitec / Diploma in Chemical Process / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Job Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance
• Performing checks, start-up and shutdown operations on process equipment such as pumps and compressors
• Carry out filter changes
• Isolating piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change and troubleshooting operations
• Adjusting process parameters to optimize process operations under supervision of Supervisors
• Commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment
• Performing emergency shutdown of process equipment
• Proper handing and blending of non-conforming and off specs products
• Preparing plant equipment for maintenance
• Preparing chemicals, including mixing and dilution, for process operations
• Performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products based on established quality procedures
• Performing emergency response activities and drills
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
