A transportation company in Singapore is seeking a Training Officer to develop and execute training initiatives for Bus Captains. The ideal candidate has a relevant diploma or degree, a valid driving license, and experience in delivering training. TThe Training Department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of training initiatives for our Bus Captains.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver classroom-based theoretical instruction, practical driving training, and skills assessments for both new and in-service Bus Captains
Manage inquiries and provide constructive guidance and support to Bus Captains
Execute and assess both WSQ and non-WSQ training programs
Conduct training needs analysis and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g., LTA, SSG-WSG, Traffic Police) to facilitate training courses
Ensure compliance with SSG-WSG requirements to maintain Approved Training Organization (ATO) status
Prepare and issue course certifications upon successful completion
Use digital tools to administer attendance, monitor participation, and maintain accurate training records
Supervise and ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) compliance by identifying, assessing, and controlling risks; ensure employees are informed of WSH policies
Perform any other responsibility or task as assigned
A Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
A valid Class 4, 4A, or 5 driving license
A Workplace Trainer Programme (WTP), Workplace Learning Facilitator (WLF), Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP), Advanced Certificate in Training (ACTA) or Diploma in Adult & Continuing Education (DACE)
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; prior experience in training Bus Captains is a strong advantage
Experience using Training Portal Gateway or similar Learning Management Systems is preferred
Good digital literacy, with the ability to efficiently manage attendance tracking and course administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Bilingual in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required
