Job description

Responsibilities:

• Analyze market and price trends, provide trading ideas based on changes in our own positions, and formulate trading strategies through joint discussion within the spot trading team, followed by executing specific transactions.
• Maintain daily communication with customers to identify trading opportunities and market movements. Formulate trading intentions based on the group company’s supply–demand situation as well as our own physical inventory and positions. Negotiate key terms such as price, cargo source, shipping schedule, cargo volume, and contract flexibility to reach agreements.
• Match physical cargos according to procurement and sales contract requirements, monitor price trends, and optimize resource allocation by fully utilizing cargo-volume and shipping-schedule flexibility.
• Work closely with contract, risk-control, and operations teams to ensure smooth contract execution, and handle issues related to loading ports, unloading ports, shipping schedules, and logistics.
• Monitor logistics activities such as shipping and storage, and make appropriate shipping and storage arrangements based on price trends.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business, or Management Science and Engineering.
• Trading knowledge, supply chain management, LNG trading.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the natural gas industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in physical LNG trading.
• Knowledge of physical commodity trading markets and organizations (LNG, physical gas, or oil).
• Detailed knowledge of the LNG market.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
