Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Business Analyst to work closely with stakeholders on trade finance products. The role includes gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and liaising between technology teams. Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of trade finance products (LCs, BGs, Collections, Supply Chain Finance).
  • Familiarity with trade finance systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate into technical specifications.
  • Awareness of ICC rules, AML/KYC requirements in trade finance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
  • 5+ years in banking or financial services, with 2 years in trade finance projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business users to capture requirements for trade finance systems.
  • Document current workflows and identify gaps for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design enhancements for trade finance platforms.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to international trade regulations.

Role Overview

The BA will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and deliver solutions for trade finance products such as Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Documentary Collections. The role involves bridging business needs with technology teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Engage with business users to capture functional and non-functional requirements for trade finance systems.
  • Process Analysis: Document current workflows and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design system enhancements or new features for trade finance platforms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to international trade regulations (UCP 600, ISBP) and local compliance standards.
  • Testing & Validation: Prepare test cases, support UAT, and validate system changes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as liaison between operations, product, compliance, and technology teams.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress and risk assessments.
