Job Title: Trade Compliance Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Determining the correct Harmonized System (HS) or Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes for products.
• Ensuring Compliance with International Trade Laws and customs regulations
• Calculating and managing applicable custom duties and tariffs
• Managing necessary safety certifications as part of the custom clearance process.
• Liaising with customers and customs authorities to resolve any classification disputes.
• Analyse and advise on appropriate HS codes for electronic products to optimize tariff rates.
• Conduct thorough research on compliance regulations specific to various countries in Asia, ensuring all products meet local requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies that address compliance challenges and implement best practices.
• Monitor legislative updates and changes in trade regulations impacting HS codes and product compliance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for customs and compliance purposes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to HS codes and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and oversee the completion of product compliance certification projects.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the manager or technical director.
