TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN SOCIAL WORK

The Department of Social Work in the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for an Assistant Professor. NUS is a leading university in Asia. Social Work is one of the oldest Departments in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). The Department offers opportunities for cutting-edge curriculum and research initiatives on contemporary social work and social development, and aims to prepare graduates who become leaders in social services and social policy. We seek beginning or early career faculty members who are emerging experts in one or more of these areas: health and mental health; technology and social services; poverty and inequality; social policy; social service management and leadership. We welcome scholars who can contribute to research, practice frameworks, and policies relevant to Singapore and the Asian region.

Qualifications

Applications for the position must:

  • Have a PhD in Social Work or a related field with a social work degree from earlier training;
  • Demonstrate strong research and publications;
  • Demonstrate an ability to teach social work courses, as well as contribute to research and scholarship; and
  • Value collegiality and collaboration. Successful candidates are expected to contribute positively to a team-oriented academic environment, engaging constructively with colleagues, students, and community partners.
