Job summary

A leading hotel in Singapore is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor. This role involves responding to guest repair requests, overseeing preventive maintenance, and supervising the maintenance crew. The ideal candidate should hold an NITEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and possess at least one year of relevant experience, preferably in a hotel environment. Strong communication and mechanical skills are necessary for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in engineering or similar capacity.
• Able to assist in preventive maintenance tasks.
• Experience working in a hotel environment preferred.

Job description

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests
• To oversee the implementation of preventive management and repair schedules of all hotel machinery, equipment and facilities and update daily routine check list
• Assist supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the department
• Supervise and delegate work promptly to the Maintenance crew and ensure that work is properly done and updated on progress work
• Participate in fire-fighting and safety exercise
• Preventive maintenance scheduling
• Inventory of spare parts, tools and expendables
• Filling of building drawing and specification
• Maintenance budgeting and planning
• On the job training to new staff (air-con, chiller plant, electrical)
• Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures

• NITEC in Mechanical/ Electrical or M&E Engineering
• Other existing and/or new Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in engineering or similar capacity preferably in a Hotel environment or in commercial building
• Able to work multi skill and assist to preventive maintenance painting and plumbing.
