Job Summary

This Advance Manufacturing Trainer will play a critical role in defining technical competency development and continuous improvement programme within Yamazaki Mazak. This role involves developing, leading, and implementing the overall technical training strategy, roadmap, and learning programs.

Your responsibilities
  • Focuses on training employees in manufacturing processes, including the use of manual and CNC machines and programming.
  • Design and develop technical training programs covering production assembly, production maintenance, production know-how, QA / QC process, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Specializes in advanced manufacturing techniques and technologies
  • Oversees training processes, standards, and tools, ensuring efficient and effective training for manufacturing operations
  • Provides training on safety, compliance, and industrial manufacturing practices
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions to field service engineers, technical support engineers, installation engineers, and external customers.
  • Engage in hands‑on activities such as tool building, manufacturing, field support, upgrades, and installations to gain in‑depth knowledge of assigned products. Stay current with product updates and changes to maintain strong technical expertise.
  • Independently lead review meetings with subject matter experts to define project milestones, deliverables, and training strategies.
  • Manage assigned training projects from end to end, including stakeholder reviews, regular progress updates, risk assessments, resource planning, and maintaining detailed project documentation and action trackers.
  • Analyse engineering documents, procedures, and specifications to extract technical information. Create structured training materials, including documentation and videos, tailored to the target audience, and design relevant certification plans.
  • Ensure assigned tools and equipment are well‑maintained, performing regular health checks, preventive and corrective maintenance, and necessary upgrades.
  • Apply standardized best practices in training design and development, utilizing consistent formats and templates.
  • Review and validate service procedures directly on the tools, identifying documentation gaps or updates as needed.
  • Monitor for errors or requested changes in documentation. Provide corrective feedback to technical writers and actively drive timely updates to technical documents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Education, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in technical training, field service engineering, or a similar technical role, preferably in a high‑tech or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs, including hands‑on sessions and e‑learning content.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or software systems relevant to the product or equipment.
  • Familiarity with training tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and instructional design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple training initiatives, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate, high‑quality training materials and documentation.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and multimedia tools for content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, product, and field support.
