Job description

Technical Support Chemist

5 days (Monday - Friday)
Location: Tuas (Company Transport Provided)
Basic Salary: $3000 - $3500

Responsibilities

• Supervise waste unloading, segregation, and weighbridge operations to ensure efficient processing.
• Review workflows and SOPs regularly; recommend and implement process improvements.
• Conduct daily plant inspections, enforcing 5S, TPM, safety, and maintenance standards.
• Verify waste streams for treatment compatibility and ensure safe handling procedures.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve discrepancies and update SOPs or work instructions.
• Evaluate and propose new methods for handling complex or unknown waste streams.
• Enforce EHS protocols, lead safety briefings, and coordinate emergency drills.
• Analyze plant cost, productivity, and quality reports; follow up on corrective actions.

• Knowledge in chemistry / engineering
• 20% lab duties, 80% on-site (Process Plant).
