Summary
The Technical Services Manager is responsible for all maintenance activities, resources and equipment across Technical Services workshops and facilities to ensure the consistent delivery of maintenance services in compliance with applicable safety and serviceability standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages all activities related to the assigned workshop and ensures that all resources (manpower, parts, tools) are available to deliver services on time and to high quality standards.
- Manages the activities related to the assigned workshops and takes necessary actions to deliver the services to the customers, with the objective of delivering maximum serviceability and best value Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Evaluates maintenance trends, technical proposals and material quotations, and provides actionable feedback as part of the management team.
- Manages stakeholder relationships across dnata Airport Operations and all other customers and ensures that all requests, including requests for information, are addressed appropriately and as soon as reasonably possible.
- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensures that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure, role modeling safe behaviours and following up on corrective actions.
- Provides necessary support to dnata International Airport Operations as and when required by management.
- Previews and reviews the allocation of resources and intervenes where necessary.
- Ensures compliance with all workplace safety, security and health policies and procedures.
- Prepares and reviews budget submissions for manpower and ground equipment.
- Performs any ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head.
Requirements
- Minimum degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile or Electronics.
- Preferably with 8 to 10 years of experience in the field of Maintenance of Automobile/ Engineering or Workshop.
- Must possess a minimum LTA Class 3 driving license and above.
- Previous experience with an airline, airport, MRO or ground handling company is a distinct advantage.
