A leading electronics company in Singapore is seeking a Snr/Technical Service Engineer responsible for Field Services and Project implementation. You will manage installations, testing, and customer training. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have experience with power systems and controllers, along with IT networking skills. This role also requires standby duties and offers the opportunity to engage in outdoor environments.

Job description
ROLE / JOB SUMMARY:

The Snr/ Technical Service Engineer shall be responsible to lead and perform the Field Services and manage the Project implementation of our Product and Solutions. He shall also be involved in the tender preparation for the Service function.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
  • Attend project progress meetings with consultant, general contractor on technical service document submission.
  • Perform and Manage installation, testing and commissioning, live cutover to site acceptance testing on our Products and Solutions during project implementation.
  • Perform and Manage maintenance and support services including attending call-outs when activated.
  • Conduct training for customer and internally to the service technicians in improving their skills and knowledge.
  • Generate project and service documentation for tender submission.
  • Conduct site assessment, generate proposal and cost sheet.
  • Be point of contact on technical and quality improvement between the customer, internal team and regional office.
  • Coordinate with customer and perform time & materials services or any ad hoc services upon instruction from Supervisor.
  • Perform standby duties 24x7.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS, if appl.:
  • Conduct training for the department periodically.
  • Assist the manager to assess competency internally in the department and external contractors/ ASP.
  • Generate project and service templates.
QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES:
  • Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Experiences in Electrical, Power Supply, Energy Storage System (DC Chargers/ UPS/ Batteries and Mechanical such as Cooling, piping systems.
  • Experiences in Controllers.
  • Experiences in Data Centre is an advantage.
  • Ability to read single-line and schematic diagrams.
  • Possess IT networking knowledge.
  • Possess valid driving license. Energetic and able to work at outdoor sites.
