Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Technical Sales Specialist with a proven track record in selling advanced scientific instrumentation or consumables. If you have hands-on experience and market knowledge in spectroscopy, microscopy, thermal analysis, or chromatography columns and consumables, this role offers you the platform to excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in your assigned product segment(s).
  • Build strong relationships with researchers, laboratory managers, and procurement teams across academia, industry, and government labs.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application discussions to match solutions to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with application specialists and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction from pre-sales through post-installation support.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and unexplored market segments.
  • Provide market feedback to product managers for portfolio growth and competitive positioning.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales experience in one or more of the following areas:
    Spectroscopy (e.g., NMR, FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis, mass spectrometry)
    Microscopy (e.g., TEM, SEM, AFM, confocal)
    Thermal analysis (e.g., TGA, DSC, DMA)
    Chromatography columns and laboratory consumables
  • Strong understanding of scientific research workflows and laboratory operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer value.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with the relevant instruments or consumables you sell.
  • Existing network of contacts in the research, industrial, or analytical sectors.
