Job description

INSEAD is seeking a Technical Lead – PHP & JavaScript Developer to join our Digital Department. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Asia Campus in Singapore. A hybrid working model is in place – 3 days on campus, 2 days from home.

About the job

• Analysis: Understand client issues and specifications to plan necessary developments, integrations, or new features for INSEAD applications.
• Design: Create prototypes, mockups, or conduct technical spikes to validate user needs and estimate effort and timelines.
• Documentation and Testing: Document and test all features within the sprint using walkthroughs, guides, screenshots, or videos to ensure clarity of deliverables.
• Discover: Research market solutions (tools, plugins, licenses) and evaluate them with technical leads for suitability. Present findings to the Architecture Review Group (ARG).
• RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Security): Follow policies and best practices, especially in CyberSecurity, Data, Legal, Change and Incident Management, and Software Quality compliance.
• Risk Assessment: Highlight risks related to timing and resources. Regularly report development progress to Line Manager, Project Manager, and Product Owner.
• Execution, Deployment and Delivery: Ensure smooth transitions across DEV/INT, UAT, and PRD/Live environments. Support tasks delegated by Line Manager and stay informed on INSEAD’s IT portfolio including legacy systems and new integrations.
• AI Capability and Enablement: Act as a performer and contributor in advancing AI capabilities and enablement initiatives.

The ideal candidate profile

• The job holder must present a bachelor’s degree in computer science / information systems / engineering
• Scrum master certification, ITIL certification, mobile development certification (optional).
• Min 3 to 5 years experience in Web development, FrontEnd development (Javascript technologies) and BackEnd development (API).
• Cloud hosting (preferably with AWS) Min 3 to 5 years managing and maintaining SaaS apps.
• Experience on implementing and rolling AI capabilities (optional).
• Excellent knowledge on Agile methodologies as a technical leader. Ability to manage multiple activities within time and technical constraints Ability to collaborate with teams and TLs.
• Speaks English Fluently; Has good communication (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills; Capacity to work as a team player in a multi-cultural team, articulate their ideas into actionable solutions, tasks and instructions.
