Responsibilities
  • Design, prototype, and implement gameplay systems, mechanics, and levels using scripting languages or game engines.
  • Collaborate with engineers and artists to ensure design feasibility, performance optimization, and proper implementation of features.
  • Act as the advocate for the product, balancing both player and business needs.
  • Build and manage game data, including balancing systems, progression, and risk/reward loops to support addictive and engaging gameplay.
  • Conduct research and analyze player needs to refine mechanics, focusing on first-time user experience and long-term satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot design and implementation issues, iterating based on testing and player data.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation—design outlines, diagrams, visual mockups—detailing triggers, interactions, and feature flows.
Requirements
