The Opportunity

Our client, a global leader in high-precision semiconductor back-end equipment, is seeking a Technical Engineer to bridge the gap between design and large-scale contract manufacturing. This is a high-impact, "hands-on" role for an engineer who excels at machine integration, hardware troubleshooting, and technical project ownership.

This is not a process management role. We are looking for a hardware specialist who can diagnose a machine’s "nervous system" and ensure world‑class build quality at partner sites across Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Integration & Setup: Lead the technical deployment and integration of complex subsystems, including Servo, Mechanical, Optics, and Electronics.
• Technical Problem Solving: Act as the "Tier 3" support for troubleshooting equipment subsystems, controller firmware, and factory test processes.
• Engineering Change Management: Own the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process, ensuring "Copy-Exact" standards and rigorous process transfers (FAI/PPAP).
• Supplier Technical Lead: Serve as the primary technical contact for Contract Manufacturers (CMs), fostering relationships while maintaining strict quality and cost targets.

The Technical Requirements

• Multidisciplinary Expertise: Deep knowledge across Control, Electronic, Optic, and Mechanical fields. You must be able to read and interpret complex BOM lists, Power Diagrams, and Pneumatic Schematics.
• Specialized Testing: Direct experience in Linear Motor module testing and equipment architecture design.
• Project Ownership: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as the primary "Process Owner" for technical outcomes.

Mobility & Flexibility

• The "Firefighter" Mindset: Ability to respond to urgent project needs with less than 24 hours' notice for travel.
• Travel Readiness: At least 20% mobility across Southeast Asia and East Asia for on-site CM support.

Preferred Background

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in equipment manufacturing, system integration, or hardware‑focused test engineering.
• Note: We are specifically seeking candidates with heavy hardware/schematic experience. Candidates focused primarily on "Process Systems" or "Software Workflows" will not be considered.
