Job summary

A leading ship management firm in Singapore is seeking a dedicated individual to assist with monitoring certifications and supporting daily operations within the Technical and Operations departments. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in relevant roles, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work under pressure. The position requires effective teamwork and readiness to address additional tasks as necessary. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in ship management, operation or safety department.
  • Experience in a technical role is preferred.
  • Ability to work extra hours and during weekends when required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and submission of IMO DCS and EU MRV data.
  • Monitor trading and non-trading certificates and their statuses.
  • Assist operation team with various ship inspection and auditing processes.

Job description
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
General Responsibilities:
  • Assist in monitoring, recording. analysing and submission of IMO DCS, EU MRV data for the fleet with close coordination of Technical Department.
  • Monitor the trading and Non-trading Certificates and update certificate status of the fleet in shared drive.
  • Assist Technical & Operations Superintendents with Ship Inspection reports trackers.
  • Assist Superintendents with Ship inspection reports.
  • Assist Operation Team with submission of SIRE data uploading, HVPQ, Crew matrix etc.
  • Assist Operation team with monitoring the Cargo, Navigation, Mooring Audits and updating Audits status.
  • Monitoring PMS overdue jobs and reporting to Technical Department/vessels.
  • Assist in daily operations of the Technical & Operations department as needed under the guidance of the Fleet and Operations Managers.
Special Responsibilities and authority include but are not limited to :
  • Monitor SPRO agreement, COFR, ICB and other USA trading related documents for the fleet.
  • Updates certificates in Q88 website.
  • Maintain and monitor the SSCEC certificates of the fleet.
  • Maintain and update weekly position of vessels.
  • Assist in preparing the TMSA audit documents.
  • Assist in preparing SSP, SSA, SEEMP, MRV Monitoring plans.
  • Prepare documents for the TMSA office audits.
  • Generating and sending monthly reporting form to vessels.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Min. GCE ‘A’ Level with good score and working experience in ship management or Ship Owning company for Technical, Operation or Safety department for at least 4 to 5 years.
  • Polytechnic Diploma in Marine Engineering or any other Engineering discipline. Experience in Ship Management or Ship Owning company for Technical, Operation of Safety department for 1 to 2 years is preferred.
  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Resourceful, driven, proactive, punctual, discipline and independent.
  • Team player, able to work with team members.
  • Ready to work extra hours and during weekend if required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and goals.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is must.
