A specialized educational institution in Singapore is seeking an Adjunct Educator to teach students with autism. This role involves planning lessons, collaborating on Individual Education Plans, and fostering positive student development. Candidates with a professional teaching qualification and experience in core subjects are preferred. The school offers a supportive work environment and values professional development.
Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer the national curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism.
As an Adjunct Educator, you will be assigned teaching duties and other duties depending on the needs of the school. Your core responsibilities include:
You must have a professional teaching qualification (such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Education or the Diploma in Special Education from the National Institute of Education or equivalent).
Trained candidates with Ministry of Education (MOE) who have experience teaching English, Mathematics or Science are preferred for this position.
