Work you’ll do

The successful candidate will work in a fast growing and specialist team advising our clients in all areas of how and why employers reward and pay their employees, including reward strategy, board and executive pay, and designing and operating incentive arrangements.

We are building a true advisory practice, and we work in partnership with our clients to deliver high quality, high impact advice. While no day is the same, typical areas of focus for this role are:

  • Driving research and working with our clients to create strategies to optimise their approaches to rewarding their workforce, and modelling the financial and strategic impacts of reward program design changes.
  • Conducting market assessments, research and analysis to understand industry and organisation‑specific issues, including business strategy, corporate performance, compensation and rewards practices and trends, and best practices.
  • Supporting the design of executive pay strategies and conducting executive and non‑executive director pay benchmarking.
  • Supporting clients with the design, implementation and operation of equity and cash incentive plans in local and globally, including tax and regulatory considerations.
  • Advising on reward matters in an M&A or transactions environment.
  • Providing support on proposals and business development activity (e.g. preparing slides, bid responses, developing your own client relationships) and collaborating with other leaders to grow our advisory business in the market.
Your role as a leader
  • Develop diverse, high‑performing people and teams through new and meaningful development opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively to build productive relationships and networks.
  • Understand and lead the execution of key objectives and priorities for internal as well as external stakeholders.
  • Align your team to key objectives as well as set clear priorities and direction.
  • Make informed decisions that positively impact the sustainable financial performance and enhance the quality of outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholders, teams, and individuals positively – leading by example and providing equal opportunities for our people to grow, develop and succeed.
  • Lead with integrity and make a strong positive impact by energising others, valuing individual differences, recognising contributions, and inspiring self‑belief.
  • Deliver superior value and high‑quality results to stakeholders while driving high performance from people across Deloitte.
  • Apply their understanding of disruptive trends and competitor activity to recommend changes, in line with leading practices.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical, consultative, quantitative, problem solving and project management skills, honed through reward advisory‑related projects or relevant in‑house experience.
  • Able to synthesize and communicate information effectively. You can use analysis, experience and judgement to develop meaningful insights and recommendations for clients.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity. You are able to work in a fast‑paced environment with sometimes unpredictable circumstances or changes and make informed decisions without all the information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business‑related field, with a Professional Qualification.

Due to volume of applications, we regret only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Candidates will only be contacted by authorised Deloitte Recruiters via firm’s business contact number or business email address.
