Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Hitachi storage solutions across AMS, HUS, VSP, and Gx00 platforms.
• Manage storage replication technologies including Snapshot, ShadowImage, TrueCopy, and remote replication (sync & async).
• Configure and support Hitachi Global Active Device (GAD) for high availability and active-active data centers.
• Administer Brocade SAN switches and fabrics, including zoning, ISL, trunking, fabric merging, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize storage performance and capacity using Hitachi tools (HCS, HTnM, HDLM).
• Handle Level 2/Level 3 production support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
• Perform storage provisioning, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with VMware, AIX, Windows, and Linux teams for seamless storage integration.
• Adhere to ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Lead or support storage projects from sizing and design to implementation and rollout.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and audit reports.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience with Hitachi storage architecture and enterprise platforms (AMS, HUS, VSP, Gx00 series).
• Proven expertise in storage replication, snapshot, shadow image, and remote replication (sync & async).
• 7 years of Experience in implementing Hitachi Global Active Device (GAD) configurations.
• Solid knowledge of Brocade SAN switch and fabric technologies including zoning, ISL, trunking, and fabric merging.
• Working knowledge of VMware, AIX, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Basic knowledge of scripting for automation and monitoring.
• Strong experience in storage performance tuning and advanced troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Incident and Change Management processes (ITIL).
• Experience in end-to-end project handling, including sizing, planning, execution, and rollout.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Highly proactive, self-motivated, with excellent planning and systematic execution abilities.
