Job description

This is a full-time position with Tecknomic and the project is with CFSA-Child and Family Services Agency in DC. This is a hybrid role. Please note, in order to apply for this position, you must be able to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination at the initial screening stage of the interview.

Candidate should have 1-5 years of experience developing scenarios to test the new system/ candidate must be willing to work on site three days a week.

CFSA is looking for analysts to support the implementation of a new child welfare information system. The selected individuals will be part of a team that will work closely with social workers, and software engineers to develop scenarios to test the new system. The analysts will be trained in business operations and Microsoft Dynamics customer relation management solution. The analysts will plan activities, follow-up, schedule meetings, conduct testing, document results, address blockers and raise concerns. The person would support development of the knowledge of our agency, and the common causes of data quality issues. This position will need to be in the CFSA location minimally 3-days a week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and comprehensive testing; analyze, provide, and communicate recommendations to improve the Child Welfare Information System business operations and improve application efficiency; and develop testing manuals including detailed processes and steps.
• Analyze, evaluate, and recommend course of actions to improve the efficiency of program or system operations.
• Analyze policies and procedures for work functions, determine what needs to be tested, and develop step-by-step testing processes that will be carried out by self and/or others.
• Review the requirements and user feedback from business users to determine best testing scenarios and parameters.
• Work closely with end users to design and support the development of automated testing processes to ensure high-quality application delivery for business users.
• Develop data by entering client information, investigation results, and case information to be used for testing software applications and interfaces.
• Communicate through Microsoft Word, Excel and/or other tools the results of running the tests and recommend changes to improve application efficiency.
• Create and maintain online requirements, testing scenarios, and develop reports indicating results of tests.
• Collaborate on problem resolutions, team decisions, and project planning.
• Participate in innovation (i.e., Research and Development or its equivalent) lab to prototype and build minimum viable products/services, promote customer-friendly technology services, and build resource capacity.
• Execute all the test cases and report defects, define severity, and priority for each defect.
• Proactively perform end-to-end testing to ensure that the updated systems and software are operating at the optimal level and as planned.
• Create internal user guides for publishing on help platform. Maintain documentation and runbooks as features and tools change.
• Collect feedback from users and internal partners about how to improve training materials or methods to achieve the optimal results.
