About This Role

We are seeking a senior communications leader (SVP level) to shape and elevate the narrative of our Group Technology organization. This role partners closely with the Group CIO and Technology Leadership Team to drive executive communications, thought leadership, internal engagement, and tech brand positioning, reinforcing the bank’s reputation as a technology-driven financial institution. You will lead strategic storytelling, strengthen internal communication channels, and ensure a consistent, engaging voice across all platforms that connect employees, leadership, and external audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Lead communications for the Group CIO — including speeches, townhalls, board presentations, and leadership messages.
  • Develop and drive the bank’s Technology thought leadership agenda, highlighting innovation, engineering excellence, and digital transformation.
  • Oversee internal communications within Group Technology, ensuring clear, consistent, and motivating messages across teams.
  • Manage internal communication channels such as newsletters, intranet stories, video messages, and leadership townhalls.
  • Manage employee feedback and engagement channels (e.g., pulse surveys, listening sessions, feedback dashboards), to ensure alignment with strategic messaging and priorities.
  • Drive process improvements within the space of internal communications with the use of AI.
  • Partner with HR and Employee Engagement teams to promote culture, recognition, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Strengthen the Group Technology brand internally and externally; ensure alignment with corporate branding and employer value proposition.
  • Monitor engagement analytics, sentiment, and feedback trends to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
  • Advise senior tech leaders on narrative framing, storytelling, and message delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in executive, internal, or technology communications, preferably in banking, tech, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in shaping C-suite communications and managing complex stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of technology and digital transformation narratives.
  • Expertise in employee engagement and feedback management.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and influencing skills.
Preferred Background
  • Experience in banking and / or Technology organizations.
  • Exposure to internal and external communication strategies within large-scale tech or transformation programs.
