The Sustainability Specialist / Assistant Manager will support the planning, coordination, and operation of the Applied Sustainability and Innovation Centre, with a strong focus on applied sustainability projects, academic–industry collaboration, and innovation outcomes. The role involves identifying sustainability challenges and translating them into industry‑relevant pilot projects, applied research initiatives, and demonstrator programs in areas such as waste stream management, green buildings, resource efficiency, and sustainable procurement. The incumbent will work closely with faculty, students, industry partners, and external stakeholders to co‑develop and implement practical sustainability solutions. The position will also support grant identification, proposal development, and funding applications, including government, industry, and international funding opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting with project budgeting, compliance, reporting requirements, and tracking deliverables for funded sustainability and innovation projects. Additionally, the role will contribute to industry engagement activities, knowledge‑transfer workshops, sustainability reporting, and the monitoring of key performance indicators to ensure measurable impact and long‑term value creation through the Centre.
