Job summary

A technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Specialist to maintain and improve day-to-day procurement operations, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Chemistry or Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Chemical or Semiconductor industries. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred. Strong skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in Chemical Distribution or Semiconductor industries preferred.
  • Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001 would be an advantage.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain day-to-day procurement operations.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance for continuous improvement.
  • Execute sourcing strategies to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Plan supply from raw material to packaging.
  • Collaborate with Operations team to ensure timely availability of materials for production schedules.
  • Manage Purchase Orders (PO).
  • Manage supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Planning for smooth order execution.
  • Licensing Management.
  • Work with product management team to review product specification/technical data.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by Team leader / Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry or any Engineering field.
  • Minimum 2 Years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in Chemical Distribution/ Semiconductor industries preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficient in Mandarin is an advantage (for communication with overseas Mandarin speaking suppliers).
  • Experience using SAP/Navision ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001 would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and strong sense of ownership.
  • Possess entrepreneurial ‘can do’ mindset, able to work in a start-up environment.
  • Travelling to local or overseas site for work/audit purposes.
