Job description
The role

You will join the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team and play a vital role in supporting operational and administrative logistics functions. You will help execute end-to-end supply chain activities, including freight and warehousing operations, vendor coordination, reporting, and system updates. Your contributions will help ensure smooth execution of daily logistics tasks and support the organisation’s upcoming strategic initiatives related to SCM.

The daily

Operational Execution

  • Monitor shipment bookings, vessel space allocation, and spot rate sourcing.
  • Liaise with the shipping team to resolve operational issues and ensure timely arrangements.
  • Follow up with shipping partners for destination charge waivers and rate updates.

Procurement & Contract Support

  • Assist in preparing tenders for ocean freight, trucking, and warehousing.
  • Collect quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and draft justification papers.
  • Maintain contract and partner records for audit readiness and reporting.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and circulate monthly KPI reports, shipment analyses, and accrual reports.
  • Track shipment costs and flag variances to management.
  • Compile partner evaluations and allocation reports.

Finance & Administration

  • Invoice processing (freight, warehousing, marine insurance).
  • Liaise with Finance on month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist with cost analysis, budgeting support, and reporting to management.

System & Data Management

  • Support testing of new system enhancements.
  • Ensure data accuracy for audits, reports, and decision-making.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as first-line support to communicate with internal departments and external partners, and escalate unresolved issues accordingly.
The essentials
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or freight forwarding.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Logistics systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills with attention to operational details.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Possess a proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented mindset.
