Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the Starline Team in Tuas, Singapore.

Responsible for the management of a team of buyers & planners who develop and implement a master production schedule linked to the monthly sales and operation plan. Plans and establishes production schedules, maintains supplier schedules, monitors material inventories and works in collaboration with the Inventory and Warehouse Manager. Tracks production progress, reviews factors which affect production and recommends remedial action. Leads the team to perform daily tasks associated with ordering and expediting of components, packaging materials, raw materials, invoicing, managing safety stocks, quality and VRMA activities, ensuring all timelines related to the supply chain are adhered to for on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Main Job Duties
  • Accountable for Strategic Supply Chain Material Planning including Materials, Inventory, Procurement, Planning and Analysis.
  • Drive material forecast accuracy and inventory stocking program by evaluating plant capacity to meet short and long term supply-demand forecasts and integrating requirements into master scheduling & planning.
  • Ensure efficient work partnership with Engineering, Production, Finance, IT & Legal teams to mitigate supply chain issues.
  • Review purchasing strategy periodically with Management and propose changes when market trends change.
  • Liaise with Strategic Sourcing in management activities with key suppliers. Participate in supplier QBRs as needed.
  • Monitor Syteline data, inventory reports, and other data resources to determine proper on‑hand quantities and system settings.
  • Maintain accuracy of the daily supplier schedules to achieve production plans meeting customer requirements.
  • Maintain accuracy of daily production schedules for all departments to set achievable targets.
  • Use capacity planning tools to recommend production rate changes and/or line configurations with available labor.
  • Develop and maintain rules of engagement for order management including master scheduling policy.
  • Develop and maintain Master Production Schedule to minimize past due orders.
  • Provide periodic production/shipping performance updates against established goals.
  • Evaluate expedited orders impact on production plan and provide feedback to CSS’s.
  • Participate in scheduling new products (samples, first production runs, etc.).
  • Assess performance, analyze sales orders and forecasts, communicate risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct periodic supplier meetings; engage in supplier report cards.
  • Liaise with engineering team on Blue Folders & New Materials.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management or equivalent. APICS certification desired.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a Supply Chain & Planning/Master Scheduler role in an ETO environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in Manufacturing/Production Environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and detail orientation.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel and Microsoft products. Familiar with ERP, DRP, MRP, MRPII or similar. Knowledge of Access, Crystal Reports or other data retrieval/report writing is a plus.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work in a team‑based environment.
  • Responsible for delivery of results, reliable, accountable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
  • Ability to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of functional areas.
