Job summary

A sustainability-focused solar firm in Singapore is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to oversee procurement processes. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring operational efficiency in managing goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills are essential. Job Summary

The Supply Chain Executive will play a critical role in managing our company’s supply portfolio, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This position is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to secure high-quality materials at optimal costs, mitigating risk, and contributing to the company's bottom line and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and govern the company supply chain strategy.
  • Lead the strategic sourcing process, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, etc.
  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability and technical capabilities.
  • Manager supplier performance through regular reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process purchases requests and orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible commercial outcomes (cost, quality, delivery, payment terms, etc.)
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • PR and PO module owner and responsible for the process flow in the system.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
  • Drive cost analyses and reports for management, justifying purchase decisions and strategies.
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline procurement processes and increase efficiency.
  • Monitor logistics, warehouse, and inventory operations to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics and transportation routes to maximize economy and efficiency.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Able to identify and evaluate suppliers, optimize costs, and ensure quality aligns with organizational goals.
  • Able to secure favorable terms and conditions from suppliers and manage the lifecycle of contracts.
  • Able to manage stock levels and the operational aspects of warehousing to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Work effectively with internal departments and external parties to achieve common goals.
  • Analyzing complex issues, developing solutions, and adapting to disruptions.
  • Able to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience of a min 3 years as a Procurement and Sourcing Officer or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing sourcing strategies and managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin as the Procurement and Sourcing Executive will need to liaise closely with other Mandarin-speaking employees, oversea vendors, etc.
