Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Job description

Attend site leadership meetings, daily standups, Gemba walks, and provide supplier quality updates aligned to customer and operational needs.

Work closely with suppliers to drive timely completion of corrective action requests in accordance with Global Operations (GOPS) Quality Non-Negotiable requirements.

Manage and track supplier performance metrics, including clinic metrics and quality investigations.

Review Corrective Action Boards (CABs) and Non-Negotiables, presenting updates and recovery actions to the leadership team.

Support urgent site requests involving non-conforming purchased materials, including immediate containment and recovery actions.

Raise supplier concerns to the DQR Management Team to support Source Inspection and immediate risk mitigation.

Assist the clinic team in reviewing suspect or nonconforming purchased materials.

Engage suppliers directly to drive containment, root-cause investigation, corrective actions, and long-term prevention.

Support Procurement/Accenture with RTV (Return-to-Vendor) and RMA requests during investigations.

Lead investigations for all supplier-related quality issues.

Perform V1 and V2 Quality Notification (QN) assignments.

Support the Supplier Request for Information (SRI) process for assigned suppliers.

Assess the need for formal corrective actions and determine the appropriate level required.

Review and approve supplier QIM responses, ensuring robust, mistake-proof corrective actions.

Participate in CORE and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent fields.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (supplier quality, production quality, or process engineering preferred).
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems (aerospace QMS experience is an advantage).
  • Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Able to generate structured, data-driven quality reports.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts when required.
