Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the subcontractors, ensuring effective coordination and execution of post-award subcontracting activities.
- Allocate responsibilities, provide direction, and monitor team performance to achieve project milestones and compliance with subcontract terms.
- Promote a proactive and accountable subcontracting culture, emphasizing risk awareness, responsiveness, and timely communication.
Subcontractor Coordination & Oversight
- Act as the primary liaison for all post-award activities with subcontractors, ensuring smooth execution in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor subcontractor progress against the agreed scope, schedule, and deliverables, with increased oversight on critical path work packages.
- Ensure timely submission, review, and approval of subcontractor deliverables such as method statements, construction drawings, and procedures.
Internal & External Coordination
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, QA/QC, and other internal departments to resolve bottlenecks affecting subcontractor performance.
- Facilitate timely reviews and responses on subcontractor technical submittals to maintain project momentum.
- Track and ensure timely processing of subcontractor interim payment applications, in alignment with contractual terms and project cash flow.
- Regularly review subcontractor progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly as appropriate) and validate against site conditions.
Issue Management & Risk Mitigation
- Identify, track, and resolve post-award issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders, escalating critical concerns when required.
- Monitor key milestones, including mobilization, material readiness, construction activities, and site access to avoid schedule deviations.
- Oversee subcontractor performance in construction execution to ensure adherence to schedule, safety, and quality expectations.
- Ensure timely coordination of inspections and testing activities with subcontractors, internal teams, and third-party inspectors.
Requirements
- Diploma / Engineering in any Engineering category or other relevant qualifications.
- 6-10 years relevant working experience as a sub-contract manager in O&G, Construction or Marine industry.
- Critical thinking
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Meticulous, organized and ensure timely completion of tasks
