Our client is the market leader in semiconductor test systems and equipment.

The Strategic Supplier Manager will be part of the global Supply Chain organization, with worldwide responsibility for strategic supplier and contract manufacturer (CM) management. This role is accountable for building and managing long‑term supplier partnerships to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, quality excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Serving as the key interface between internal stakeholders and external partners, the role supports both ongoing operations and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, driving alignment to meet business objectives and accelerate time‑to‑market.

Division: Order Fulfillment Division

Reporting to: Division Head of Order Fulfillment Division

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Own end‑to‑end supplier relationship management, including issue resolution and escalation management.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships to align on demand forecasting, capacity planning, quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Lead regular supplier business reviews (QBR/MBR) to track performance, KPIs, and improvement actions.
  • Drive cost reduction, cost avoidance, and productivity initiatives, including NPI cost targets and cost alignment activities.
  • Manage and negotiate supplier contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with operational, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support NPI and product lifecycle activities, including supplier selection, cost modeling, and readiness assessments.
  • Participate in global supply chain initiatives, collaborating with cross‑functional and regional teams.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier risks, including development and execution of business continuity and contingency plans.
  • Manage supplier activities during product transitions, ramp‑up, and roll‑off, ensuring smooth transfer and uninterrupted supply.
  • Ensure suppliers meet quality, ethical, sustainability, and compliance standards.

Requirements & Preferences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and procurement handling Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), electronics manufacturing, or semiconductor‑related industries.
  • Proven experience managing contract manufacturers (CMs) and strategic suppliers in a global environment.
  • Strong background in contract management, cost negotiations, and commercial terms.
  • Experience supporting NPI programs, including cost modeling, supplier readiness, and time‑to‑market objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost improvement and productivity initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills in English and Mandarin to liaise and able to influence at multiple levels with English and Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to support global collaboration and occasional travel as required.
