Job Purpose
The Store Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the store to ensure smooth workflow, high service standards, staff discipline, and achievement of operational targets. This role acts as the key link between frontline staff and management.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Supervise daily store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company procedures
- Ensure store opening and closing duties are carried out properly
- Monitor stock levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate replenishment
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
Staff Supervision & Scheduling
- Supervise, guide, and motivate store staff on daily tasks and service standards
- Prepare staff rosters and manage attendance, punctuality, and manpower deployment
- Train new staff and coach existing staff to improve performance
- Address staff issues, conflicts, and discipline matters professionally
Customer Service
- Ensure customers receive a high standard of service at all times
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery effectively
- Set a positive example in customer interaction and service attitude
Sales & Performance
- Support store sales targets and promotional activities
- Monitor daily sales performance and report issues or trends to management
- Ensure proper handling of cash, POS transactions, and basic reporting
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and SOPs
- Report operational issues, incidents, or maintenance needs promptly
- Assist management with audits, inspections, and operational improvements
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of supervisory experience in retail / F&B / service operations
- Prior hands‑on experience in store or outlet operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and people‑management skills
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic computer literacy (POS systems, simple reporting)
- Responsible, reliable, and able to work under pressure
Preferred Attributes (Good to Have)
- Experience managing multi‑national frontline staff
- Knowledge of basic inventory control and cost awareness
- Customer‑focused mindset with problem‑solving ability
