What the role is

Are you a meticulous worker in driving technology innovation, data science and operation technology work? If so, we invite you to be part of our team at the Singapore Police Force (SPF)'s Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The SPF plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. As a Staff Officer in CID, you play an important role in managing technology innovation, data science and operation technology matters for CID in a challenging operating environment.

What you will be working on

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual to be part of our Investigation Development and Systems Team. You will carry out ICT systems project work, drive technology innovation, enhance capabilities of the investigation fraternity through technology, create and support investigation systems and operations proficiently using emerging and relevant technologies, and at the same time, ensuring system and data governance.

What we are looking for

Requirements:

• Proactive, meticulous and independent worker, who is self‑driven and able to carry out work responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Good team player who works well with others
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, with good writing ability
• Possess good time management skills and be able to meet deadlines and deliver the desired outcome
• Possess good planning and organisation skills, effective resource and project management ability
• Having knowledge and experience in computing, managing ICT systems, software or applications, emerging technologies (particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning (ML) or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and any relevant background would be an advantage
