Job summary

A healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to supervise nursing staff, deliver person-centered care, and actively participate in resident care planning. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma/Degree in Nursing, have 4-5 years of experience, and hold valid accreditation from the Singapore Nursing Board. Job description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Enrolled Nurses/Nursing Aides/Healthcare Assistants with regards to their duties according to their roster assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based, and person-centred nursing care to residents in accordance with established clinical standards and care plans.
  • Assist and supervise residents during mealtimes, including feeding.
  • Work with the Enrolled Nurses/Nursing Aides to order medication and medical supplies.
  • Administer oral/topical medication and injections.
  • Conduct regular nursing rounds to monitor residents’ condition, safety, and comfort.
  • Prepare and attend to any Doctor or Allied Health Professional’s visit when required.
  • Timely documentation in the Care Management System.
  • Be prepared to work assigned shifts and on-call duties when required.
  • Orientation of visitors when necessary.
  • Record Donations-in-kind and in-cash in the book provided.
  • Participate in Home or nursing committees and quality improvement activities when assigned.
  • Participate in care planning, implementation, evaluation, and timely updating of residents’ nursing care plans.
  • To perform any other tasks assigned by CNO and NO.
  • Provide on-the-job guidance and support to junior staff to enhance their clinical competency and adherence to best practices.
  • Escalate any clinical, operational, or staffing issues to the CNO or NO in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) discussions by contributing relevant nursing assessments, observations, and care recommendations.

The person qualifying for this position should be a Registered Nurse. He/She should have considerable years of working as a Registered Nurse, with valid accreditation from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB). He/she should be a consistent good performer with good knowledge in Nursing; equip with good communication and interpersonal skill and be able to display competency to perform role of higher responsibilities.

Qualification
  • Should preferably possess a Diploma/Degree in Nursing with 4-5 years of experience.
