Job summary

A leading semiconductor foundry in Singapore is seeking a Sr. Associate Engineer (Facilities Operations) to ensure the operation and maintenance of Facilities systems. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with around 3 years of hands-on experience in Maintenance. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting engineers with various systems. This role requires the ability to perform a 12-hour rotating shift and offers a dynamic work environment with a commitment to diversity.

Qualifications

As a Sr. Associate Engineer (Facilities Operations), you’ll ensure that all Facilities systems are operating with minimum downtime and zero incident. You will also carry out Facilities plant operation and maintenance, including troubleshooting, corrective, breakdown and ad-hoc maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on UPW and M&E Operations and E-Logging, SCADA monitoring from FMS of cleanroom facilities and maintain contaminations free manufacturing environment.
  • Carry out Preventive Maintenance for Mechanical, Electrical, UPW, Wastewater Treatment Plant & exhaust ducting systems
  • Carry out supervision and coordination work with vendors on Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance and Ad-hoc Maintenance.
  • Assist to Engineer on Mechanical, Electrical, UPW, WWTP and STP system trouble shooting such as Fire alarm and protection system, VSD, UPS, Emergency genset, process exhaust system etc. Assist Engineer in general mechanical repair works such as motors, pumps bearing replacement, pumps mechanical seal replacement, heat exchanger cleaning, pump overhaul etc.
  • Assist Engineer in general electrical repair work such as Motor panel, FFU, MCCB replacement, VSD capacitors, cooling fans replacement etc.
  • Assist Engineer in UPW, WWTP, STP repair works such as RO pump, reclaim pump, loop pump, sump pump, diaphragm pump bearing replacement etc.
  • Assist Engineer in Mechanical predictive maintenance work such as vibration monitoring.
  • Assist Engineer in Electrical predictive maintenance work such as IR Thermal scanning.
  • Assist Engineer in Corrosion control program such as piping thickness monitoring, corroded piping replacement, painting of piping and equipment structure in cooling tower, scrubber yard, roof top area.
Other Responsibilities

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Around 3 years of hands-on experience with Facilities with a focus on Maintenance
  • Intermediate working knowledge on M&E Chiller system and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), UPW and Wastewater Treatment system.
  • Good to have a specialization in one of the systems (M & E, WWTP, STP) to improve, enhance PM activities and provide suggestions on system design.
  • Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift
