Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure parts are verified and meet high-quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring supplier performance, training technicians, and auditing quality systems. Candidates must hold a degree in Science or Engineering and possess 2-3 years of relevant experience with strong analytical and communication skills. Familiarity with quality tools such as SolidWorks and Minitab is preferred. This position offers a dynamic work environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science disciplines (materials, chemistry, physics) & Engineering disciplines (mechanical, materials, chemical, quality, manufacturing).
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant working experiences.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Job description
  • Ensure all parts are correctly verified & fit for use promptly. Drive, resolve supplier-related quality issues promptly and effectively to ensure continuous supply of good quality parts.
  • Monitor & analyse part data & suppliers performance to identify risks; develop plans to improve parts, suppliers to meet quality expectations.
  • Train & enable technicians to function as effective detection and prevention gates of incoming materials to ensure good part quality.
  • Audit, qualify, manage suppliers & parts. Map suppliers development plan with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Audit, verify suppliers quality systems, controls and processes to ensure their conformance to the requirements and standard.
  • Review, improve / refine the SQE workflows, jobs, process efficiency & productivity of SQE operations.
  • Manage, enable safe and efficient inspection process & operating environment.
  • Manage the SQE equipment to ensure their validity, fitness & correct functions.
  • Manage a small team of technicians to conduct effective operations.
  • Review, update & maintain SQE-related ISO documents periodically.
  • Support ad hoc requests to conduct investigations.
  • Generate reports as necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Science disciplines (materials, chemistry, physics) & Engineering disciplines (mechanical, materials, chemical, quality, manufacturing).
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant working experiences
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications effectively.
  • Experience in plastic injection and/or metal stamping will be excellent.
  • Knowledge of using SolidWorks, JMP, Minitab will be good.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical, logical and troubleshooting skills.
