Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement activities to improve supplier quality.
- Define supplier roadmaps (certification status, zero defects, etc.) and manage the roadmap.
- Responsible for supplier audit, perform supplier rating in terms of quality and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal procedures and policies (TTD, QAA, material compliance) and quality system.
- Responsible for the quality of incoming materials within processes.
- Manage supplier’s claim and follow up 8D report.
- Establish SPC and Cpk monitoring at supplier.
- Provide supplier assessments on quality to influence supplier selection and qualification for new materials/technology.
- Joint ownership with TD team and sourcing team in new materials selection and to define the specification.
- Select and qualify 2nd source suppliers with sourcing, technology development and engineering team.
- Provide technical support and drive material quality issue with suppliers.
Education/Experience Requirements
Degree in Engineering. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Possess good statistics and materials analyses knowledge.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 internal auditor, and certified in IATF16949 or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Dynamic, resourceful and self-motivated, have strong communications and interpersonal skills, and a team player.
