Job Summary

My client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. This role requires a commitment to improving patient outcomes through personalized therapy plans and a collaborative approach with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Utilize standardized tests, clinical observations, and patient interviews to diagnose speech and language impairments.
Therapy and Treatment
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy to patients, using evidence-based techniques and interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders and involve them in the therapy process.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including initial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Prepare reports for referring physicians, insurance companies, and other relevant parties.
Education and Training
  • Provide training and support to junior therapists, interns, and other healthcare staff as needed.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech therapy by attending workshops, seminars, and continuing education courses.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid certification and licensure to practice as a Speech Therapist in Singapore.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients.
