Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Chartering professional to join our team and support the company’s dry bulk shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth dry bulk market research and analysis, including vessel supply and demand, freight rate trends, and market movements, to identify business opportunities and optimize vessel utilization.
  • Develop and expand the company’s international dry bulk shipping business by sourcing cargoes and shipowners, and establishing long-term, sustainable partnerships with industry counterparties.
  • Handle the full chartering process for both Voyage Charters (VC) and Time Charters (TC/TCT), including selecting suitable chartering strategies based on business requirements.
  • Review, negotiate, and conclude charter party agreements with shipowners and cargo interests, ensuring favorable commercial terms and safeguarding the company’s interests.
  • Monitor vessel voyages after fixture and work closely with the operations team to address operational issues, disputes, or emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • A recognised degree in Shipping, Marine Navigation, Maritime Law.
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in commercial shipping operations or marine navigation, preferably in dry bulk.
  • Deep understanding of charter parties, voyage execution, laytime, bunkering, and vessel performance monitoring.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
