Job summary

A Singapore-based education provider is seeking dedicated Shadow Support Teachers and Relief Teachers to assist children aged 0–6 in Early Childhood settings. Candidates should possess a Degree or Diploma in Psychology or relevant fields. Roles include facilitating classroom attention skills and supporting behavioral growth. Flexible schedules and various contract options are offered, along with incentives and transport allowances. Experience in early intervention is preferred, and a local diploma is advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
A) Shadow Support Teacher
  • Facilitate skills that enable students to pay attention and follow instructions in class.
  • Support development of appropriate classroom behaviour.
  • Help classroom teachers understand students’ learning differences.
  • Provide support for classroom tasks only when necessary.
  • Implement accommodations and modifications to help students achieve IEP (Individualized Education Plan) goals.
  • Ensure therapy goals (speech, occupational, etc.) are applied in classroom settings.
  • Provide regular progress updates to parents, teachers, and the case team.
B) Relief Teachers
  • Plan and carry out routine-based intervention programmes aligned with each child’s IEP.
  • Support functional outcomes through engagement, strategies, and behavioural techniques.
  • Carry out recommended therapeutic strategies as part of a transdisciplinary team.
  • Prepare appropriate teaching resources based on children’s interests.
  • Maintain a respectful learning environment with positive discipline.
  • Supervise Teacher Aides and Assistant Teachers.
Remuneration
