Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of current research and support research projects.
  • Prepare for and attend Internal Case Reviews regularly.
  • Develop and implement new projects aligned with the Division objectives.

Job description

Social Worker will be working with youths and their families in the community . List of responsibilities, but not limited to:

  1. Initiate and/or participate in outreach efforts related to the Division, which include developing outreach plans to publicise the Division Programmes and establishing good relationships and contacts with stakeholders or community partners.
  2. Management of referrals, and engaging referral agency / person for intake and assessment.
  3. Case assessment and conceptualisation by conducting a thorough assessment of the case using information gathered during the intake and subsequent engagement with client, family and stakeholder.
  4. Collaborate with clients to develop intervention plans, and provide counselling and support to address their risks and needs issues; advocate for clients' rights and access to essential services within the community and relevant systems.
  5. Documentation of all case related records.
  6. Research and evaluation through keeping abreast of current research and trends, and participate in and support research projects.
  7. Professional development and education by preparing for, attending and presenting cases at Internal Case Reviews / Case Conceptualisation meetings / Clinical supervision on a regular basis. Involve in supervising interns and/or students on placement
  8. Develop and implement new projects/initiatives that are aligned with the objectives of the Division.

Technical competencies:

  • Knowledge of specialized theories and techniques to assess a case holistically using the relevant tools within the organisation;
  • Ability to conceptualize and formulate case plan that is relevant, realistic and achievable;
  • Ability to engage stakeholders to develop solutions in community work.

  • Strong ability to engage youths and stakeholders, good coordinating ability, strong communication skill, and has good administrative skill.
  • Candidate should be well versed with MS Office programmes.
