What the role is:
You will be part of the Finance Data & Analytics (FDA) directorate, that oversees the finance data and analytics strategy to support the government’s finance and internal audit community in better decision making. You will contribute towards building a high-performance enterprise data engineering & analytics platform, create results-driven approach with data assets, and strengthen governance, optimise resource management and drive productivity within the public sector finance and internal audit community.
What you will be working on:
- Planning, designing and executing the data strategy for the WOG enterprise finance data analytics platform, integrating with agency’s objectives and building data as strategic assets for the agency. Including the enriching of these data assets with context and metadata to produce re-usable data products.
- Establishing and executing data governance, driving data ownership, data traceability, data discovery, data quality, and data management to balance data accessibility and usability. Ensuring compliance with data governance policy requirements in the public sector, while promoting and embedding an agency-wide data-driven culture.
- Overseeing data engineering & analytics architecture, across data and AI/ML technologies to drive a vision of strategic enterprise platform. Including the monitoring of emerging trends, and propose the technology roadmap for adoption and application.
- Architecture, engineer and manage data integration solutions to deliver data services at scale for enterprise activities. Using of modern and innovative data technologies to enable agency data users to securely and seamlessly access and consume data.
- Partnering with leaders and executives to identify opportunities for leveraging contextualised data for enterprise BI and AI/ML projects to drive digital transformation, generate insights for decision-making, and optimise business processes.
- Identifying opportunities for abstracting one-off data projects into re-usable data solutions and integrate such capabilities into our WOG enterprise finance data analytics platform to serve the WOG public sector finance and internal audit community.
- Working on data & analytics related projects from end-to-end, including user requirement studies, prototyping, development, testing and deployment. Lead solutions delivery for fast-moving Agile projects with modern DevOps practises and data technologies. Work with external experts and solution architects on on-premises and cloud native technologies.

What we are looking for:
Functional/Technical Competencies
- Tertiary or professional qualifications in Computing, Information Systems, FinTech, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), or any related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in enterprise data platforms, data modelling, data engineering, data technologies, data solutions & products management, or related areas.
- Relevant knowledge or interest in business intelligence tools, data visualisation, reporting, Agile software development & project management in data-related projects, or competency in scripting/coding language (e.g. SQL, Python or Java).
- Relevant knowledge or interest in data architecture, management & governance concepts, business process and technology related to enterprise information assets, data quality, data lineage, and approaches related to data protection, especially in public sector context.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, audit, finance and business stakeholders. Good communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, effectively translating complex technical concepts into business terms.
- Fresh Graduates are welcomed.
