A leading maritime firm in Singapore seeks a Ship Finance Director to oversee financial health across gaming, hospitality, and entertainment sectors on a ship. The role involves financial strategies, compliance with maritime laws, and managing stakeholder relationships. Ideal candidates will have over 7 years of experience in financial management, strong leadership, and communication skills. The Ship Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the entire ship, including the gaming, hotel, food & beverage (F&B), entertainment, and overall ship operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance, optimizes financial performance across all revenue-generating sectors, and provides strategic insights to senior management. The Finance Director will lead the finance team and collaborate with various departments to maintain accurate financial records, streamline cost controls, and drive overall profitability.
Oversee all financial operations of hotel, F&B, gaming operations, entertainment, and ship operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize revenue streams and cost efficiency across all onboard departments.
Manage cash flow, revenue tracking, and financial risk management for the ship’s entire operations.
Ensure compliance with maritime financial regulations, gaming laws, hospitality standards, and tax requirements.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports for each business unit.
Work closely with ship leadership, department heads, and corporate executives to support strategic planning and financial decision-making.
Build, supervise and guide the finance team through either direct or indirect reporting, including accountants, floor managers, hotel finance personnel, and inventory controllers.
Oversee the ship’s financial audits, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions, and suppliers.
Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Optimize operational costs and analyze financial data to improve overall ship profitability.
Monitor daily revenue reconciliation from hotel bookings, dining outlets, bar sales, gaming, entertainment tickets, and other revenue sources.
Implement SOPs, financial systems and onboard accounting technologies to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
Manage shipboard inventory control, procurement processes, and expense tracking.
Willing to work on-site Singapore Office and onboard ship as and when needed.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial and accounting management, preferably in gaming, hospitality, cruise, or maritime industries.
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of hospitality revenue management, gaming financial regulations, and maritime financial compliance, a plus.
Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing finance teams across multiple revenue centers.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, shipboard environment and handle multiple priorities.
English as the work language, proficiency in Chinese speaking is an added advantage.
