Job description

A Ship Broker is responsible for various stages of setting up and negotiating deals, including presenting the business to potential clients, negotiating the main terms of a contract or sale, and seeing it through to its conclusion, along with any follow-up involved.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop a framework and processes to manage chartering business.
2. Oversee negotiations related to ship chartering. Work closely with traders and address their queries, seeking cooperation directly with traders.
3. Negotiate charter party terms and conditions on behalf of Owners or Charterers.
4. Provide timely and accurate shipping information and voyage calculations to trading teams to facilitate smooth trading activities.
5. Maintain excellent communication skills to liaise with ship owners, cargo owners, ship brokers, etc.
6. Capable of working under pressure.
7. Be self-motivated and a team player.
