Job summary

An international marine shipping company in Singapore is looking for an Operations Officer to manage day-to-day operations of chemical tankers. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies, preparing necessary documents, and assisting in administration. The ideal candidate has a minimum A level or diploma and preferably a background in marine/chemical tankers, with excellent communication skills in English and preferably Chinese. Strong skills in Microsoft Office are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Minimum A level / Diploma, preferable with Marine/chemical tankers related background.
  • Pleasant personality, mature, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication in English; proficiency in Chinese advantageous.
  • Good skill in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day ships' operations and agency arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and issue documents on behalf of ships' owner/agent.
  • Assist in managing administration within Ship OPS & agency Team.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day and day ships' OPS agency/ arrangements of chemical tankers you in charge. While ships will be coming Singapore, you need to update these ships' schedule to office all involved parties.
  • Assist in managing administration within Ship OPS & agency Team, for purchasing and repairs' technical matter.
  • Ensure that all operation/technical matters for vessels assigned are in compliance with the company policies and purchasing/PO procedures.
  • Prepare and issue PDA & OBL on behalf of ships' owner/agent.
  • Assist to compile and prepare ship management reports.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations for Ship Agency & office.
  • Other jobs assigned by manager if need.
  • Minimum A level / Diploma, preferable with Marine/chemical tankers related background.
  • Pleasant personalities mature, with good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication in English. Proficiency in Chinese with oral & read will be more advantage.
  • Good skill in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook will be advantageous.
  • Good sense of responsibility and self-motivation, take initiative and well organized.
  • Working across time zones and prompt resolution of issues in hand.
  • Able to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  • Have good teamwork.
