Role Overview

This is a key leadership role responsible for the smooth, safe, and efficient execution of all day-to-day activities within a dynamic terminal environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, acting as the primary on-the-ground commander for all operational and emergency situations during your shift. You will be instrumental in upholding the terminal's stellar reputation for safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Operational & Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of operations technicians, managing workflow scheduling, shift briefings, and performance to ensure all production and safety KPIs are met.
  • Safety & Emergency Command: Act as the primary Site Incident Commander during after-hours emergencies, lead incident investigations, and manage the daily Permit-to-Work system to ensure all activities are conducted safely.
  • Compliance & Customer Focus: Ensure all terminal operations strictly adhere to local regulatory requirements and corporate safety standards. You will also manage relationships with key customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring service expectations are consistently delivered.
  • Training & Continuous Improvement: Coach, mentor, and train your team members to close competency gaps and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will actively initiate programs to enhance operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • A Diploma or NITEC in Chemical Process Technology or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in terminal operations within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industry.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, Permit-to-Work systems, and emergency response protocols in a high-hazard environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
