Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for a finance professional to handle receivables and payables for trading transactions. Candidates should have a degree in accounting or finance and 2-3 years of relevant experience in trade finance, with strong knowledge in Letter of Credit. The role includes coordinating with operations and handling payment processes. Shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Commerce / Maritime Studies / Supply Chain or related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of related working experience in trade finance.
• Good knowledge in Letter of Credit and able to work within tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Handle receivables and payables for physical products trading transactions.
• Issuance of Import LC and negotiation of Export LC.
• Reviewing trade contracts.
• Coordinate with Operations department on trade and shipment information.
• Follow up on the approval for payments.
• Handle payments for cargoes and direct expenses.
• Maintain updated trade information in the system for the month-end accounts closing.
• Provide information on receivables and payables for Treasury's cashflow planning.
• Ad Hoc duties when required.
