Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to support the design and user experience optimization of computer vision AI use case at POC stage on AWS Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) platforms. The ideal candidate will be a design-focused professional capable of translating complex technical AI functionalities into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that meet both business and end-user requirements within a government cloud environment.

Mandatory Expertise Required

• Extensive experience in end-to-end UX design for complex digital products, from discovery and user research to wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design
• Prior experience working within government digital services or on public sector projects is a strong plus, with familiarity in navigating policy-driven environments and security constraints
• Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro)
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical AI functionalities (specifically computer vision outputs) and data into simple, intuitive, and visually appealing user interfaces
• Foundational knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical feasibility and facilitate seamless collaboration with engineering teams
• A basic understanding of AWS services and the specific security and compliance landscape of AWS Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) platforms is a strong advantage

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing with government stakeholders and end-users, to uncover pain points and validate design choices
• Produce high-quality UX design solutions, including user flows, process maps, wireframes, storyboards, and interactive, high-fidelity prototypes that clearly illustrate design ideas and functionality
• Create intuitive data visualizations and interaction patterns specifically for the outputs of computer vision AI models, making complex information actionable and easy to understand for non-technical users
• Guarantee all design solutions adhere to strict government accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1+) and design guidelines, ensuring the product is usable and secure within the AWS GCC environment
• Conduct usability tests and gather feedback to iteratively refine designs, using data-driven insights to improve the user experience continuously
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to align design decisions with business requirements, technical constraints, and the overall product vision, effectively communicating design rationale
• Help build, maintain, and advocate for a consistent design system to ensure cohesion and scalability across the evolving Proof of Concept (POC) and future product suite
