Job summary

A leading reinsurance firm in Singapore is seeking a professional to service and enhance the existing treaty portfolio while developing strategies to acquire new clients. This role requires 5-8 years of experience in the reinsurance sector, a relevant degree, and strong analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be articulate in English, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficient in MS Office 365 applications. Responsibilities include compliance with regulatory standards and thorough documentation management.

Job description
Key Accountabilities/Core Competence Indicators
  • Service existing treaty portfolio and provide high level of RI service to clients.
  • Identify and review growing needs of our treaty clients and recommend optimal treaty program/products.
  • Identify new target treaty clients, reinsurance markets and create business strategy to acquire new clients.
  • Be competence in widely used treaty wordings, terms and conditions, with emphasis on Property Treaty Reinsurance.
Documentation & Broking Records
  • Work closely with the Technical Processing and Broking Support Department.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained, and in compliance with regulatory and markets requirements.
  • Ensure Contract Certainty is in accordance with relevant regulatory compliance such as the MAS.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Degree in any discipline, preferably with MAS CGI, ACII, Chartered Insurance Practitioner or other relevant professional (re)insurance certifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in the reinsurance industry
  • Mature and independent
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Articulate, excellent verbal and written communication in English, other language skills would be an added advantage
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Words, PowerPoint)
