Job summary

A leading tools and engineering company based in Singapore is seeking a skilled Tool Maker. Responsibilities include assembly and maintenance of press tools, providing technical support to production, and managing tools and spare parts. Candidates should hold a Technical Certificate or Diploma in Tool & Die Making, possess minimum 1 year of relevant experience, and be skilled in reading CAD models. The position offers an opportunity to work on progressive stamping tools in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Precision Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience working with progressive stamping tools.
• At least 1 year of tool-making experience, focusing on progressive, compound, and 3D stamping tools.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting 3D CAD models and 2D tool design drawings.
• Experience handling tight-tolerance parts and difficult materials such as stainless steel and copper alloys.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, and debug press tools for production.
• Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of tools.
• Conduct maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues.
• Provide technical support to the production team.
• Track and manage spare parts usage.
• Identify improvements to enhance tooling efficiency.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, fit, and debug press tools to ensure alignment with production targets and quality standards.
• Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of tools to support efficient and reliable production operations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues to sustain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support to the production team to meet operational, technical, and quality requirements.
• Track and manage spare parts usage, alerting the Engineer when inventory levels require replenishment.
• Identify and propose practical improvements to enhance tooling efficiency, performance, and longevity.
• Execute other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support departmental objectives.

Requirements:

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Precision Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with progressive stamping tools.
• At least 1 year of tool-making experience, with a focus on progressive, compound, and 3D stamping tools.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting 3D CAD models and 2D tool design drawings.
• Experience handling tight-tolerance parts and forming difficult materials such as stainless steel and copper alloys.
