Senior Technical Engineer – Downstream Chemicals

Are you an experienced Technical Engineer looking for a new opportunity? Would you like to work with oilfield services? Join our Oilfield Chemical team! Our Oilfield Chemical team oversees the chemical technology solutions for hydrocarbon production, transportation, and processing. We are a leader in oil and water separation technology. We provide chemicals and support for integrity management, flow assurance, production optimization, manage water treatment, and resolve environmental issues globally.

The Senior Technical Engineer will manage technical support, sales and service delivery for Oilfield & Industrial Chemicals in Singapore and the area of Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for ensuring that Baker Hughes maximizes its short- and long-term revenue and profit opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and overseeing Chemical operations to provide support and guidance to our customers in Singapore and the area of Southeast Asia.
  • You will ensure flawless execution, on-time delivery, contract adherence and cash collection.
  • Reviewing work activities, job programs and design through collaboration with the sales team and understanding client’s requirements
  • A dedicated resource to drive these interactions, develop relationships and position us well within the problem-solving & value delivery arena.
  • Confident to kickstart the customer interaction, technical discussion and opportunity discovery.
  • Maintaining existing business contracts and customer relationships to help identify new business opportunities
  • Owning financial planning to understand revenues, expenses, headcount and profitability
  • Managing and developing your team to ensure effective planning, share knowledge and to encourage success
  • Maintaining internal compliance and HSE standards to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or demonstrate relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrate expertise in Chemical operations within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Demonstrate business acumen and ability to ensure product & project delivery
  • Demonstrate experience in desalting, overhead corrosion control and fouling control.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal teams and customers
  • Show the ability to lead and coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Have a proven track-record of growing a business and delivering profitable results
  • Demonstrate experience in Refinery process & petrochemical environment.
