The Senior/Supply Chains Executive will oversee and optimize the entire supply chain process, ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods from suppliers to customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive improvements and ensure customer satisfaction. The Supply Chains Executive will be responsible for two or more key areas, as outlined below:
Roles & Responsibilities
Logistics Management
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with operations, shipping, and warehouse teams, as well as freight forwarders and local/overseas customers to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide timely updates on shipment statuses from origin to final destination, keeping both internal and external customers informed.
- Verify shipping billing and resolve any discrepancies; review freight costs, transportation rates, and other logistics‑related expenses for cost optimization.
- Update all shipment expenses and ensure spending remains within the forecasted budget.
- Monitor freight forwarder/LSP performance and support initiatives for improvement.
Warehouse Management
- Manage year‑to‑date warehouse used space versus budget space allocated
- Monitor inventory levels within the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock counts
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and measure External Warehouse partner performance
- Work with internal stakeholders for aging cargo disposition
Consumables & Raw Bar Procurement and Management
- Manage year‑to‑date consumables costs versus budget, targeting less than 100% spending.
- Oversee company‑wide consumables forecasting and planning
- Identify and source alternative suppliers for consumables.
- Plan and provision for raw bar inventory needs.
- POC to work with Central Purchasing on meeting Financial Performance and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as Purchasing OTD, PR to PO Lead Time, Buyer's Service Level, etc.
Procurement Management
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies with suppliers to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Conduct performance reviews of key suppliers, focusing on on‑time delivery (OTD) and quality metrics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of materials and outsourcing contracts.
- Analyse MRP and provisioning methodologies, serving as a key point of contact for related inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Value Stream team to analyse and source suppliers or stockists for critical inventory items.
- Identify and source suppliers for aging or slow‑moving stock to reduce overall inventory levels
Inventory Management
- Oversee daily cycle counting and resolve stock variances effectively.
- Lead the annual stock‑take process, including generating stock‑take instructions.
- Review stock accuracy and address any discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports to headquarters.
Supplier Management
- Manage the supplier selection process, ensuring alignment with company standards and strategic objectives.
- Act as the focal point for negotiating contract pricing and leveraging economies of scale across the value stream
- Support the development and implementation of materials and outsourcing contracts, including SRP kits, Boeing spares, and out‑house repair agreements.
- Conduct key supplier performance reviews, focusing on on‑time delivery (OTD) and quality metrics.
- Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and associated documentation.
- Manage and organize the NDA folder, ensuring all agreements are current and accessible.
Others
- Responsible for meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as set by the Manager in accordance with Policy Deployment objectives.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
- Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Business Administration / Logistics / Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Operation Management or related disciplines.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the aviation industry, with applicable experience in one or more of the key responsibilities listed.
- Hands‑on experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning), supplier management, freight management and inventory control systems.
- Strong background in logistics management, demonstrating the ability to coordinate supply chain activities effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills and a capacity for data‑driven decision‑making.
